Unforgettable Swimming lesson

When I was in grade three my father taught me how to swim.He took me to the river to begin my swimming lessons. That time I was very afraid because of the turbulent flow of the running water and the water was cold too.I felt very nervous when my father began swimming and demonstrating. While he was demonstrating,I was playing with rocks and forming mud into a small house.I did not listen to him even if his voice was loud. When he told me to apply everything that he showed me,I did not know what to do.I learned nothing because I was doing something else when he was demonstrating.I forced myself to swim even if i couldn't,I just dive into the water. When I was in the water I noticed that I was beginning to drown.I didn't know what to do that time because my legs cramped because of the cold water.Thank God my father was there and pulled me out of the water.
At present,When I am swimming I keep on recalling the time when my father taught me.After that incident,I have learned that in everything we do or when we want to learn something we must listen carefully to instructions so that when we will apply them we will going to do it safely and without being nervous.
